In recent years, VCE has given special attention and priority to renewable energy. Its roles include consultancy, investment project proposal reports, pre-feasibility studies, feasibility studies and plant construction supervision. Representative projects include:

1. Solar and wind power projects
|
|
Projects designed by the company include Mộ Đức (19.2 MW); Thanh Hóa 1 (160 MW). Other work includes supervision of Sê San 4 Solar Power Plant (50 MW); an investment proposal report for the Đồng Lâm Cement Plant solar project (10 MW); and an investment proposal report for the KN Sê Kong solar–wind complex, with 600 MW of solar power and 1040 MW of wind power.

2. Pumped Storage Hydropower projects
|
|
The company’s design work includes structural calculations for the intake structure and underground powerhouse of the Hatta Pumped Storage Hydropower project in the UAE (250 MW); shop drawings for the tailrace channel and enclosing embankment of Phước Hòa Pumped Storage Hydropower (1200 MW); and an investment proposal report for Lâm Sơn Pumped Storage Hydropower (1440 MW).
