Nậm He Hydropower Plant, developed by Công ty Cổ phần thủy điện Nậm He, formerly Công ty TNHH Một thành viên Sông Đà 706, is located in Mường Tùng Commune, Mường Chà District, Điện Biên Province. The plant has 2 generating units with a design capacity of 16 MW. Construction began in April 2010. On 18 June 2014, its 02 units began generating electricity and were connected to the national grid. With average annual generation of 59 million kWh, the completed plant supplies electricity to the national grid and helps regulate floods during the rainy season. It also creates jobs, increases budget revenue, supports stable livelihoods, contributes to poverty reduction and promotes rural development in the mountainous area of Mường Chà District, Điện Biên Province.
