Háng Đồng B Hydropower Project (Bắc Yên and Phù Yên Districts, Sơn La Province) is a diversion-type hydropower plant. According to the source article, most main components have been completed, procedures for electricity generation are being finalised, and generation was expected to begin in 2025.
The headworks comprise 01 main dam and 02 Chiron dams. The main dam on the Bé Stream is a concrete arch-gravity dam with a maximum height of approximately 80 m. The reservoir has a storage capacity of approximately 41.3 million m³. The spillway has 02 bays fitted with flat gates, each 9 m wide.
The water conveyance system on the left bank of the dam comprises an intake structure; a headrace tunnel with D = 3.6 m and a length of 4977.8 m; a surge tank with D = 8 m and a height of 54 m, with a connecting shaft 3 m in diameter and 24 m high; and an exposed steel penstock with D = 2.5 m and a length of 309.3 m.
The powerhouse contains 02 vertical-shaft Francis turbine units, with a total installed capacity of 28 MW and average annual generation of 82.2 million kWh. Maximum generating head: Hmax = 187.5 m; maximum design discharge through the generating units: Qmax = 18.89 m³/s.
