Tiên Thành Hydropower Plant (Phục Hòa District, Cao Bằng Province) is a dam-integrated plant on the Bằng River, upstream of Hòa Thuận Hydropower Plant, directly designed by VCE. The project was completed and began generating electricity in 2019.
The reservoir has a storage capacity of approximately 5.0 million m³ and is impounded by a concrete gravity dam approximately 22 m high. The spillway comprises 03 bays with flat gates, each 13.5 m wide. The powerhouse has 02 bulb (capsule) turbine units with a total capacity of 15 MW and average annual generation of 49.4 million kWh. The plant's rated head is Htt=6.7 m and the rated discharge through the generating units is Qmax=257 m³/s.
