Nậm Xí Lùng 1 Hydropower Project (Mường Tè District, Lai Châu Province) is a diversion-type hydropower plant. The project began generating electricity in 2022.
The headworks dam on the Nậm Xí Lùng Stream is a concrete gravity dam with a maximum height of approximately 48 m. The reservoir has a storage capacity of approximately 0.375 million m³. The overflow spillway is 50 m wide.
The water conveyance system on the right bank comprises an intake structure and a headrace tunnel with D = 2.5 m and a length of 3690 m.
The powerhouse contains 02 vertical-shaft Pelton turbine units, with a total installed capacity of 29 MW and average annual generation of 96.16 million kWh. Maximum generating head: Hmax = 296.1 m; maximum design discharge through the generating units: Qmax = 11.43 m³/s.
